NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DATE:  November 11, 2008
Making Friends Made Easier
For students like Michal Fidler, planning an overseas vacation or professional tour is cheaper and easier now that Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Hungary citizens are eligible to use the Visa Waiver Program for travel to the USA.  Under this program, students who previously needed a visa, can now simply fill out a form on the U.S. Embassy web site. The online approval, along with a modern, machine-readable passport is all that is needed for up to 3 months visit. Overseas travel for a few months is a tremendous opportunity for personal and professional development.
Using the old visa system, Czech student Michal Fidler traveled in 2003 to the USA for a business tour program with Intelligentsia International, Inc. (III). Michal contributed more to III projects than any other of the 125 program participants before him. He was a data analysis and report writing machine, while also helping with field programs whenever needed. By the time of his departure, he had produced several projects final reports and many more progress and data reports. He was also the glue that held the trainee group together. He was welcoming in Florida all new arrivals from various countries form all continents. Michal was helping out whenever other students needed assistance with their projects, while during weekends and free time traveling together to Disney World, Miami Beach, The Everglades, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, the Florida Keys and other attractions around Florida.
Michal came to the USA under a traditional visa, but with new rules in force from November 17, 2008, almost any student or young professional from the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Hungary can now more easily travel to the USA for vacations, business, or professional tours.  A formal student visa is still required to attend classes at a U.S. school or university or for a long-term internship, but the U.S. State Department’s Visa Waiver Program offers a fast, inexpensive alternative for those wanting to travel to the USA for 3 months or less. Details of the new rules are at http://www.intelligentsia-international.org/index.php?page=vwp.
